FALL 2011 -
We are preparing for our sixth season here at Oakville Indoor Golf Season (OIGC) and as usual we have some new developments to tell you about.
Firstly, we are installing two new units at the Centre in time for this season. The first new unit is an Aboutgolf Widescreen Classic Simulator. This unit is 2.5 feet wider than the existing Simulator units with a commensurately wider Front screen. We have had to sacrifice most of the warm-up area in order to accomodate this new unit, but we think it is going to be a very popular addition. The second new unit will be located in the former Lounge area and will be used exclusively for Instruction and Self Teaching. This unit - which will be considered our "Studio" unit - will use our "best in the industry" ball tracking technology currently in use in the Simulators but will also include (1) Balance Plates - to measure weight shift through the golf swing, (2) Video Cameras - to provide images from multiple angles through the golf swing, (3) Club Data - for those for whom the "best in the business" ball data is not sufficient, we can add club data through the impact zone, and finally (4) new detailed shot feedback software displayed on a large Monitor in the Hitting Zone. Unfortunately, for the coming season the Studio will only be available to right-handed golfers.
We expect that the new Studio will be particularly interesting to our "Game Improvement" golfers, but there has certainly been more of you asking about competitive play options at OIGC as well. This is undoubtedly a result of indoor golf technology continuing to develop and the game being played inside more closely resembling the one we play outside. We are pleased that so many of you come in to enjoy a round with your regular golf group but if you would like to know more about how you can participate in these "friendly competitions" with the larger group here at OIGC and very soon other Indoor Golf Centres here and around the world please ask us!
OIGC pricing for the current Season will be the same as last Season for those receiving this email. Pricing on the Studio will be lower than the Simulator units. We would very much like you to visit us regularly through the season though so please ask us to customize a visit package for you that recognizes your unique schedule and provides you the opportunity to swing regularly through the Indoor Season. For example, our Weekday Individual Membership was quite popular last year. For $599.00 (taxes included) you have the opportunity to book the Simulators for two hours a week (one or two separate visits) from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm - Monday through Friday - beginning immediately through April 2012. This works out to a little more than $20 per week! Ask us about Group or Shared Memberships too!
